This is a Photo of the 2nd Crossroads Atomic test Baker. The device was suspended under a landing ship [LSM-60] in the middle of the atoll, surrounded by captured IJN & Kriegsmarine warships as well as older USN ships. In the middle of the shot is the USS Saratoga [CV-3], to the right is probably the IJN Nagato. Both were sunk by the device. |
